Chiradzulu District Health ) has recorded one Covid-19 case of a 36 year old woman who returned from South Africa recently.
Chiradzulu Districts Health Promotion Officer, Cosmas Joshua confirmed the case on Tuesday saying the woman’s condition is mild.He said the woman is from Traditional Authority (TA) Mpama in the district.
“As of now we are going to collect samples for all household members and her contacts. As health office we will keep on monitoring the affected person because her condition is mild,” he said.
As of June 9, Malawi had registered more than 455 cases more Covid 19 out of 6690 tests conducted in many testing centers across the country.
Malawi recorded four deaths since early this April.
