Running-mate for Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) – United Democratic Front (UDF) alliance Atupele Muluzi has invaded Mangochi district where he is holding campaign whistle-stops ahead of fresh presidential elections.
Reaching at the first area of the first whistle-stop at Lulanga, Trading Center in the district, the young Muluzi was welcomed by Traditional Authority Lulanga.
In his remarks Lulanga, told the vice president hopeful that people in the area are ready to support the government to bring development to the area.
Lulanga appealed to government to construct the Mangochi-Makanjira Road to ease mobility in the area.
He says Makanjira has a good beach along the lake but it is not being developed due to the poor condition of the road.
Muluzi is scheduled to hold additional four rallies, with the last one slated for M’baluku Trading Centre.
