The Malawi High Commission in New Delhi has repatriated 179 Malawians from India to Lilongwe.
This is according to a statement from the Commission.
Most of the passengers were stranded in India after their treatment due to the coronavirus lockdown imposed by the Indian government.
The repatriated passengers include sixteen Malawian patients and their guardians, business men and a few Malawian students.
Some of these people are among those tested positive for coronavirus in the past 48 hours.
