Health workers at Kameza Isolation Centre down tools

Frontline workers at Kameza Isolation Centre in Chileka are from today proceeding on strike to force authorities to pay them their allowances.

The frontline workers have stopped attending to patients at the centre. They have since threatened to release the patients and seal the centre if they are not paid their allowances by close of business today.

The workers say they have not been paid for the past six months while others say they have only received part of the payment
