Malawi Police Service (MPS) has assured the general public that security measures have been put in place to ensure safety of people during and after voting.
The assurance has been made in a press statement signed by police National Publicist Senior Superintendent James Kadadzera.
According to Kadadzera Police, Malawi Defense Force (MDF) Soldiers, Immigration department and Malawi Prison Service (MPS) have been deployed across the country to ensure safety of people.
In the statement Kadadzera also urged people to go to their respective homes after casting their ballot saying it is a crime to loiter around polling centers and tally centers without accreditation.
Tomorrow Malawians are expected to cast their votes electing a president following nullification of May 21, 2019 presidential elections.
