National Assembly will reconvene on June 29, 2020 to deliberate on the 2020/2021 national budget presented by Minister of Finance and Economic Development Joseph Mwanamvekha.
Speaker of the National Assembly Catherine Gotani Hara confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
A statement from the office of the speaker says the decision has been arrived at to give members of parliament time to play their party roles in the fresh presidential polls.
Initially, the National Assembly was expected to reconvene tomorrow Thursday but due to delays in announcing the results of the fresh Presidential polls Parliament has been shifted further.
The outcome of the fresh polls has the possibility to change the sitting arrangement in the August house.
