Timothy Mtambo has said Malawi is free at last as Malawians have cast their vote and elect the president of their choice.
Mtambo who is a human rights defender cum politician writing on his Facebook page said Babylon has fallen and it is time to build a New Jerusalem.
The Chief in Commander further congratulated Tonse Alliance Torchbearer who is also the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) president Lazarus Chakwera who is leading in the fresh presidential elections.
“Congratulations to all the patriotic citizens who were part of this transformative agenda. Malawi has been saved, now is the time to serve it,” writes Mtambo.
Chakwera, run the presidential race with the state vice president Saulos Chilima who is also United Transformation Movement (UTM) leader in the Constitutional Court sanctioned polls.
Meanwhile, the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) is yet to announce the winner of the fresh presidential elections.
