A social commentator Humphreys Mvula has described the partial cabinet released by President Lazarus Chakwera as refreshing and inspiring.
Chakwera yesterday announced the appointment of four cabinet ministers, an Attorney General and a Chief Secretary to the government, a day after taking oath of office.
Apart from serving as Chakwera’s deputy, Vice President Saulos Chilima will also head the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development as well as oversee public sector reforms.
Other ministers in the initial cabinet are Felix Mlusu at Finance, Modecai Msiska at Justice and Constitutional Affairs and Richard Chimwendo Banda at Homeland Security.
Meanwhile, top lawyer Chikosa Silungwe has taken up responsibility as the government’s chief legal advisor as Attorney General.
