Tobbaco makes K72 billion after 10 weeks of sales

Over K72 billion has so far been realized from tobacco at the floors after 10 weeks of sales.
There has also been a noticeable improvement in prices of the country’s green gold as the average price averaged $1.51 as compared to last year’s $1.34.
The improvement in pricing is being attributed to the private bidding system by the tobacco buyers especially on auction due to measures introduced to curb the Covid-19 crisis.
Prices have improved this year despite a noticeable downturn in many other sectors due to the pandemic.
