Minister of Finance Felix Mlusu has presented a K723 billion provisional budget in the National Assembly which is expected run for the next 4 months.

In the budget, government under Tonse Alliance is seen fulfilling most of its promises it made to Malawians before being ushered into power.

As the state vice president Saulos Chilima has been saying, in the provisional budget smallholder farmers are going to benefit as the price of fertilizer will be K4, 495.

Adding to that government has also increased tax free band and minimum wage from K45, 000 to K100, 000 and K35, 000 to K50, 000 respectively.

The Minister has also disclosed plans of redefining the private sector to accommodate deserving youth on internship.
