Dalitso Kabambe, Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor has dismissed social media reports that he has been dismissed from his post.
On Thursday morning, social media platforms were awash with reports that Kabambe has been relieved from his post at the bank.
In his remarks, Kabambe said he has not received any communication from relevant authorities pertaining to his alleged dismissal.
“I haven’t heard that. In fact I called the Chief Secretary to the Government and h also appears to say that has not happened. So I don’t have any communication unless you have a different message,” he said.
Chief Secretary to the Government Zangazanga Chikhosi was not available or comments.
