United Democratic Front (UDF) is set to review its marriage with the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) after losing the fresh Presidential polls.
UDF Secretary General Kandi Padambo confirmed of the development in an interview with the press.
According to Padambo, the National Executive Committee (NEC) will among other things assess the working relationship of the party and DPP.
NEC will also assess the way forward of the party after the fresh polls.
UDF partnered with DPP and it featured Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika as its torchbearer and Atupele Muluzi as the runningmate.
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) on Saturday night declared Lazarus Chakwera of Tonse Alliance as winner after outclassing Mutharika with 58 percent of the votes.
