Banana Football Club is going to play in the Premier Division following its impressive performance in the Southern Region football league, Mphatso Jika, owner of the club told Face Of Malawi in an interview.
He said this is also because some teams have withdrawn from playing in the league due to among other things the COVID 19 pandemic.
“Currently discussions are under way for the team to play in the Premier Division and we are very optimistic that this will happen,” he said.
Jika who is also treasurer has also dismissed rumors circulating on the social media about the bus which the former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika gave to Be-forward Wanderers and Nyasa Big Bullets saying that the bus belongs to Wanderers because all necessary procedures were followed.
“The bus is ours and it was bought from Rashid Gaffar, those who want to investigate are free to do so.”
