The World Bank has approved financial support to improve Malawi’s efforts towards restoring most of its degraded water and land resources.
The Bretton Wood institution’s board yesterday approved $157 million Malawi Watershed Services Improvement Project (MWASIP) targeting at least 250,000 beneficiaries.
Through the project, the beneficiaries are expected to have their livelihood improved via various community grant schemes designed to encourage better land stewardship.
