The Asian Business Community (ABC) in the country has promised that they are fully committed to curb further spread of the Covid-19 by embarking on awareness campaign and distributing preventive equipment to hospitals and treatment centres.

Speaking in an interview, Vice Chairperson for the grouping Dr Parth Patel said the community is working through two ways firstly through pro-active and Pre-active measures.

“As Asian Business Community we are fighting harder and we put much effort to combat the pandemic. We are using two ways such as pro-active and pre-active measures,” he said.

He said pro-active strategy are vigorously giving awareness campaigning on how people can avoid further spread of the Covid-19 like social distance, having jingles on the radios and TVs, producing flyers with corona virus measures across the country.

Dr Patel also said in pre-active method, they distribute equipments to various hospitals and treatment centres.

“We shortly distributed equipment to Blantyre DHO, at Chancellor College and Queens Elizabeth Central Hospital worth K600 million to mitigate the pandemic which has devastated economy globally,” said Patel.

Dr Patel also assures the nation that the community will continue to sensitize people to stop spread of the pandemic.
