Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Parliamentary for Mulanje Bale Victor Musowa has asked people intending to leave the party to do so in peace.

Musowa said this today in Blantyre at the party’s headquarters during a meeting the party is holding with its supporters.

In his remarks DPP executive member Joseph Mwananvekha urged all supporters to respect former president Peter Mutharika as their leader.

He further denounces castigations on Mutharika on social media and has called for unity in the party

Leadership of DPP is holding a meeting where the party is conducting a postmortem to find out factors that led the party to lose in the fresh presidential election on June 23, 2020.

In the fresh polls the past immediate ruling party trailed behind with 38 percent of the votes which saw the Tonse Alliance winning the polls with 58 percent.
