The National Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME) is urging its membership to adhere to the new Covid-19 preventive measures whilst finding new ways of trading to survive on the market.
The presidential task force on Covid-19 recently announced strict measures including banning several business activities such as mobile markets.
NASME chairperson William Mwale says that Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) should just try to find means of survival since Covid-19 is a global pandemic.
On Friday, the government through the Presidential task force on Covid-19 introduced news measures to prevent the spread of the virus including the burning entertainment gatherings, weddings and other social gatherings and imposed restrictions on church and funeral gatherings.
The government also suspended mobile markets and street vending.
Currently, Malawi has recorded 2,364 cases of Covid-19 with 38 deaths and 557 recoveries.
