Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Deputy National Director of Operations Joe Nyirongo will spend more days in police cell after the court differed a bail ruling to July 21, 2020.

Nyirongo and three others namely Lumbani munthali, George Mwatobe and Thembisile Mkosi were arrested on Tuesday on grounds that they disrupted a rally organized by Dr. Lazarus Chakwera in 2016 in Mzuzu.

The incident left many people including Chakwera’s bodyguards hacked.

This week, law enforcers have arrested several of the DPP top officials over criminal acts committed in the past.

The latest being the arrest of bodyguard to former President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, Norman Chisale.

Chisale is being accused of having a hand in the dubious importation of 400,000 bags of cement on duty free.
