
Mutharika’s aide Norman Chisale arrives at court while holding a bible

Norman Chisale, security aide to former President Peter Mutharika has arrived at the Lilongwe Magistrates Court holding a Bible in his ‘handcuffed’ hands.
Chief Resident Magistrate Violet Chipawo is expected to make a ruling on Chisale’s bail application for his fraud and money laundering charges.
He arrived at the court with heavy police escort which included a riot vehicle.
Chisale, who surrendered himself to police at Area 30 and has spent three nights in the cooler, was charged with fraud and money laundering.
