An inquiry has been launched in Australia into how security breaches may have undermined the country’s Covid-19 hotel quarantine programme in the state of Victoria.
It comes as the state grapples with a fresh wave of the virus – a spread that appears to have started with one man who didn’t show any symptoms.
Professor Catherine Bennett is Chair in Epidemiology at the Faculty of Health of Deakin University in Victoria.
