Father Joachim Moloko Mwale of Karonga Diocese who died this morning at Kamuzu Central Hospital (KCH) will be laid to rest this afternoon at Lukuni Parish Cemetery.
Episcopal Conference of Malawi (ECM) Secretary General Father Henry Saindi confirmed of the development in a statement made available to faceofmalawi.
“On Tuesday, 14 July 2020, Father Mwale tested positive for COVID-19 while in Lilongwe, and on Friday evening, 17 July 2020 he was admitted at Kamuzu Central Hospital COVID-19 isolation centre. Father Mwale has gone to the Lord today 21, July 2020 while serving as Curate at St Michaels Parish and Vocational Director of the Diocese of Karonga,” reads in part the statement.
