Four employees at Times Group have tested positive to Coronavirus, faceofmalawi can reveal.
This has been confirmed in a statement posted on Times 360 Malawi facebook page seen by this publication.
“As a responsible corporate citizen, Times Group on Friday, July 17 organised random testing of Covid-19 on its members of staff at its headquarters in Blantyre. 17 members of staff took the test and four came out positive.
“As of today, the four are in perfect health and in self isolation at home in the next 14 days.
Going forward, Times Group continues to put in place measures to help fight the pandemic that include fumigation of all our operating offices, decongesting the offices, allowing employees work from home, encouraging clients to use electronic payment systems and insisting that all clients and visitors wear masks and their temperature taken on arrival,” reads in part the statement.
Added the statement: “The offices were sanitised, fumigated and disinfected on Friday.”
Malawi has so far recorded over 3000 cases of Coronavirus with over 50 deaths.
