A married Zimbabwean woman was caught red handed with her alleged lover in a lodge, this publication has learnt.

Amanda Chembe, 30, who hails from Chirasavana village, had a rendezvous with Master Chirowodza, 24, at Ridgeview Guest House, when her hubby’s brother Oswell Mumbamarwo pounced on the philandering couple.

The police had to be called to intervene in case violence erupted at the emotionally charged scene.

Chembe had to leave the room escorted by police officers.

Afterwards she denied that she was there to hook up with Chirowodza, but instead said they had met up for a private  business meeting.

She said she didn’t know Chirowodza and stated that he was just a mere shop keeper at a shop in their village and they had met up to talk business.

“It is true that I booked the room to have a private meeting with baba munini since we wants to sell clothes at my village in Mhondoro,” said Chembe.

“Hapana zvataita isu handidanane navo kana zita ravo handirizive ndinongoziva kuti ndi baba munini veku shop chete.

She said they agreed to raise capital and share in the proceeds from their second hand clothes business.

She said the reason the meeting was secret was because Chiworodza wanted to keep the details of the meeting secret from his brother.

“I was not aware that it is a lodge bamunini ndivo vangavachipaziva and I informed bamkuru about the deal but am surprised that he was secretely following us,” said Chembe.

Mumbamarwo followed Chembe and Chirowodza from Seke to Ridgeview after learning of their secret rendezvous.

Mumbamarwo and the news crew from Hmetro arrived at the lodge and he asked to be granted entry into the room where  Chembe and Chirowodza were booked.

“The woman booked here is wife to my brother locked in South Africa so I was following her from Seke after learning about her illicit affair with a shop keeper,” Mumbamarwo was heard saying to the lodge owners.

The lodge owner waived client confidentiality and denied Mumbamarwo access.

He told him to wait for them outside instead and confront them as they left.

He then called the police in case there was a violent confrontation.

An impatient  Mumbamarwo called Chembe on her mobile phone and demanded that she come out of the lodge.

Chiworodza had already left by the time Chembe came out of the lodge.

He said he had been tracking her and Chiworodza for 2 weeks as he deemed their moves suspicious.

“At one time I confronted her over Chirowodza after I found him at the house and she said they were discussing clothing business.

He said her husband was currently in South Africa and was sending money for the upkeep of the family, instead of booking rooms with her lovers and leaving her kids unattended.

After the fiasco, the police took them for counseling.

Chiworodza declined to comment on the matter.

The owner of the lodge shut down all line of questioning.
