Nkhotakota District Council workers on strike

Nkhotakota District Council workers have today started a sit-in protest against the council’s alleged failure to pay them their wages for 10 months.
The workers claim that the council has failed to remit the wages after a series of negotiations on the matter.
The striking staff have closed the entry to Council’s offices with tree branches.
The council is yet to comment on the strike.
