Chikwawa First Grade Magistrate Court has granted bail to three people who were arrested for damaging and soiling Malawian Currency banknotes.
A video of four people went viral on social media, in which one of them was chewing K2000 bank notes, while the other wrapped the notes around a bottle of beer.
The court has given two conditions for the bail; that they should pay a cash bond of K100,000 each and all suspects should provide one person who shall be a bond of K100,000 non cash surety.
The three who are from Chikwawa district,Traditional Authority Ngabu, are; Dan Soza, Roderick Bwanali (both 23 years) and Willy Paiva, who is 21 years.
Meanwhile, the case will go for hearing on July 31.
