The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested Commissioner for Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Jean Mathanga.
ACB Director General Reyneck Matemba confirmed of the arrest in an interview with the press, saying details of her arrest will released later.
Mathanga, a former board Chair of Electricity t Supply Corporation of Malawi is accused of having a hand in misprocurement at the electricity distribution company.
ACB has arrested three more people including former CEO of Escom John Kandulu.
