A male nurse identified as Tunde Oyeniran, has allegedly butchered his wife and two children to death in Inisa town, Osun State

The incident happened on Friday, July 24, at about 11pm, in Inisa town as Oyeniran used a machete commit the heinous crime.

After killing his family, Oyeniran who is popularly called “Plato”, cut his own hands and stomach with the matchete and called for help saying they were attacked by assailants.

Confirming the report, the Osun State Police Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, said Oyeniran was arrested where he was receiving treatment.

She said preliminary investigation detected a foul play, adding that the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department was already investigating the matter.

Here’s what she said;

“From the information available to us, the incident happened around 11 pm last Friday in Inisa. The suspect reportedly used a cutlass to kill his wife, Sarah, and the two children living with them.

According to the information gathered, The nurse was known to be extremely promiscuous who went to a nearby town to have a fling with another woman. 

The wife was informed by people which made her to travel down to the said town. This made the wife to leave in fury which later resulted in a heated argument.

 After succeeding in matcheting his wife, the two grand children that saw him while he was carrying out the act were also killed.”
