In a shocking incident reported from Bihar, a man chopped off his wife’s head with a sharp weapon in Buxar district on Friday. The incident took place near Brahmpur Shiv Mandir under the Brahmpur police station area.

The couple was staying separately for the past three years and the matter was in court. On Friday, the husband reached where his wife Chandni Devi was working and decapitated her using a sharp-edged weapon. The accused has been identified as 48-year-old Algu Yadav.

The local residents at the spot pelting stones at the man in an attempt to stop him from attacking his wife, but he kept on hitting her until she died.

Later, the accused ran to the local police station and surrendered before the police.

The couple got married in 2013 and has a daughter. Chandni Devi was a resident of Pakur district in Jharkhand. Few years after the marriage, the couple had disagreements and both started to live separately. Their dispute even reached the court.

The woman was working at a local mall to earn a livelihood. Algu was reportedly pressurising the woman to withdraw the court case and promising to take her back but the woman did not budge. The woman had demanded maintenance from her husband, who worked as a mason.
