Government of Malawi says people and other stakeholders are still allowed to give feedback on the measures that are being put in place to curb the spread of Covid19 in the country.
This follows the announcement of new rules which include a ban on larger public gatherings and as stakeholders are still reacting to the rules.
Minister of Information, Gospel Kazako, says the new rules will still require inputs from various stakeholders for them to be effective.
Meanwhile, the Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiative has called on government to ensure that peoples rights are not infringed as the measures and being enforced.
According to the associations Executive Director Sylvester Namiwa, there is also a need for the provision of safety nets during this time.
So far, total confirmed cases have risen to 4,658 following 34 new cases.
There have also been 46 new recoveries and 3 new deaths, putting the fatality tall at 146.
