The Kenya Wildlife Service says it has extinguished the huge fire that has razed part of the country’s biggest national park, Tsavo.
The authorities believe that arsonists were behind the blaze, which started on Saturday.
The military was deployed to help hundreds of local volunteers to douse the flames.
Tsavo, in south-eastern Kenya, is home to hundreds of animals such as lions, elephants and buffaloes.
It is visited by thousands of local and international tourists each year.
In July, three fires razed another part of the park.
