The Supreme Court of Appeal has adjourned the hearing of an application by Norman Chisale former personal aide of former President Peer Mutharika stopping the police from further arrest.
Yesterday, lawyer for Chisale, Chancy Gondwe prayed for an injunction from the high court over the matter, but it was dismissed by the high court.
The matter was referred to the Supreme Court of Appeal for hearing of inter-parties submission on the application, however, the hearing has been adjourned to Monday.
Currently, Chisale is remanded at Maul prison in the capital Lilongwe after he was arrested over murder charges of former Anti-Corruption Bureau Issa Njauju.
He has been arrested for 3 consecutive times within a space of 3 weeks for 3 different charges of money laundering, attempted murder and murder.
This prompted his lawyer Chancy Gondwe to apply for an injunction at the high court stopping the state from any further arrests.
