Agriculture Extension workers in the country have threatened to take court injunction against the government’s plan to implement new Agricultural input program saying the government is not involving them in the exercise plan,hence, taking them as not important.
The extension workers say they are concerned that the government is currently dealing with local leaders directly on the matter.
The Tonse government has introduced Affordable Input Programme (AIP) which will see Malawians getting a 50 kg bag of fertilizer at K4, 495.
Over 4.2 million farmers have been targeted for this initiative.
