Social media users are divided as per if an apology is enough or legal steps need to be taken, after a lady publicly apologised for deliberately infecting men with HIV.
HIV (human immunodeficiency virus) is a virus that attacks the body’s immune system. If HIV is not treated, it can lead to AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome). There is currently no effective cure. Once people get HIV, they have it for life.
Taking to social media, a Kenyan\ lady simply identified as, Harriet Vihenda Akunava begged for forgiveness as she revealed that she is HIV positive.
On first sight, her social media contacts thought she was joking, and it was all a prank, but her status was confirmed when she showed off a test strip result to corroborate her claim.
She also went on to disclose that she has been deliberately infecting men with the virus, as she urged anyone who had sex with her to go and get tested. See what she wrote below;
“It’s time I come clean. I was bitter for many months but I can’t do this anymore. I am HIV positive and I have been infecting men. I am sorry, forgive me. Get tested if I have hanyad you.”
