One of Malawi’s well known and veteran actors Elson Soko, popularly known as Anyoni, has died.
He passed on Saturday evening at the Blantyre Adventist Hospital where he was admitted earlier in the week.
The National Broadcaster, MBC facilitated his admission after staff from the organisation cheered him at his home in Machinjiri township, Blantyre where a need for medical attention was noted.
Anyoni will be remembered for the popular radio play ‘Pamajiga’ where he played a central role.Burial arrangements will be announced later.
