The government says it will reopen the country’s airports next month, starting with the Kamuzu International Airport to allow resumption of international flights.
The government announced closure of the airports in April this year in a bid to contain spread of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Speaking in his weekly radio address on Saturday night, President Lazarus Chakwera said the government has made headway in mapping regulations for re-opening of the skies.
He said the flights resumption would be in line with the International Air Transport Association rules.
