Minister of Information Gospel Kazako is this morning attending the funeral ceremony of the fallen comedian Elson Anyoni Soko who died on Saturday.
Another notable face in attendance is of Leader of opposition and Democratic progressive Party (DPP) vice president for the south Kondwani Nankhumwa.
Soko died at Blantyre Adventist Hospital at the age of 71.
Soko was a well-known comedian on Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) radio programmes ‘Pamajiga’ and ‘Sewero la Sabata Ino’.
The remains of the veteran comedian are expected to be buried today in Blantyre.
A Nyoni has been a household name for decades for his exceptional radio theater acting skills.
