Police in the state of Texas were first notified that something was awfully wrong when they received a call alerting them regarding the death of an infant.
The cops then immediately went to the parent’s home in Highridge Road in Princeton on Saturday.
News Channel 8 reports the Grabowskis at first tried to deceive the investigators.
Officers said they did not want to cooperate with the investigation, telling “numerous lies,” including that the baby was staying at a friend’s home.
Eventually, cops found a message one of the parents sent to a friend in which they asked to borrow their baby in order to convince the police that the living baby was their own.
“I need you to say your baby is ours. Quick in and out. They just need to see,” the disturbing text read.

The Grabowskis had told their friends that their infant had passed away from Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS).
The detectives, holding a search warrant for the couple’s house, found the boy’s body in a bucket of tar inside a shed behind the house, according to CBS DFW.
“I’ve been in this business over 30 years and I’ve seen a lot of crazy things but this is the first time I’ve found a dead infant in a bucket of tar,” Sheriff Jim Skinner revealed to WFAA. “And hopefully the last.”

The couple confessed to their failure to report the passing of the child to any law enforcement authority.
State prosecutors have charged the father, Roland Grabowski, with abandoning or endangering a child, corpse abuse, and messing with psychical evidence for his involvement in the couple’s horrific actions related to the dead baby found in the tar bucket.
He is being held in the Collin County Detention Facility, and his bond stands at $925,000.
The mother, Donna Grabowski, was charged with the same crimes, but she also received an additional charge of messing with physical evidence, the New York Post reports.
Donna also received a higher bond than her husband. It stands at $1,075,000.
Authorities said there are more charges to be expected against the parents.
