National Initiative for Civic Education( NICE) recommended the establishment of Community Covid-19 Support Groups to facilitate an increase in public and private response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nice Trust organised the meeting to create a platform for the stakeholders to brainstorm and find decisive measures for containing the pandemic.
One of the participants, Bishop Lazaro Gama, proposed the formation of Community Covid-19 Support Groups to spearhead the fight against the scourge from the grassroots level.
Nice District Civic Education Officer for Lilongwe Urban, Hajira Ali, said the Trust is ready to facilitate the establishment of community structures to complement government efforts in the fight against the disease.
