Power has been restored at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital after services were disrupted on Wednesday due to a technical fault on the hospital’s electricity distribution panel.
The hospital’s director of operations Dr. Samson Mndolo has confirmed of the development in an interview with the state controlled Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC).
According to Mndolo, services at the referral health facility are back to normal.
The damaged distribution panel resulted into a total power blackout at the referral hospital on Wednesday.
The development caused panic among patients and guardians especially those on oxygen and operation.
Meanwhile no fatality is reported so far due to the power interruption.
