Leader of opposition Kondwani Nankhumwa who is also Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Vice President for the South on Thursday visited Senior Chief Kadewere at his headquarters in Chiradzulu.
Senior Chief Kadewere has been unwell for some time.
Nankhumwa’s spokesperson Tusekele Mwanyongo confirmed of the development in a statement posted on his official facebook page.
“Honourable Nankhumwa wished the Senior Chief a speedy recovery. The Senior Chief informed the DPP VP that he is feeling much better now. He thanked Nankhumwa for coming to cheer him up,” wrote Mwanyongo.
Since DPP was booted out of power on June 23, 2020, Nankhumwa has been running up and down trying to re-organize the party.
The move has attracted mixed reactions with many speculating that he intends to represents the party in the 2025 General election.
