A millionaire was “chained up like a dog” during a 162-day kidnapping ordeal.
Sandra Munsamy, 46, was taken hostage in May last year with her captors demanding £6million from her transport tycoon family.
The mum-of-two was driving through Pinetown, near Durban, South Africa, when a gang forced her off the road, opened fire on her car and then pulled her out of the vehicle.
She was then blindfolded and bundled into another car, and taken to a home in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, where she was kept shackled to a wall for the next six months.
Ms Munsamy was only able to move from the bed to a toilet and a bath because of the chain around her ankle.
