While it is not uncommon for China to experience flooding during the summer, CNN reports that “this year has seen the worst floods in decades, destroying the homes and livelihoods of millions of people”.

However, in Yudong, Chongqing this woman makes a romantic gesture as she breaks her house’s windows to retrieve and save her husband’s Gundam MS figures from the flood.

9GAG has explained that the woman’s husband had left his collection as he was afraid of drowning due to his inability to swim. His wife, however, broke into the second floor of their home and saved his prized collection.
