Prophet Chimwemwe Seer Sabao of Angelic Gathering for Christ Church has been released from prison after serving just 7 months of his 10 years jail sentence, faceofmalawi can reveal.
Prophet Sibao was among the 499 inmates pardoned by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera recently with an aim of decongesting Malawi prison to control the spread of Coronavirus.
This followed a sharp increase in inmates testing positive for coronavirus with Chichiri Prison topping the list.
In November last year, Prophet Sabao together with Nomsa Plaignne were slapped 10 and 4 years respectively for forgery, uttering false documents and theft.
Prophet Sabao successfully cashed in seven cheques from single account which is being maintained at Standard Bank for Glalle Stationaries

The two managed to steal money amount to MK3, 350, 000 through the said cheques.
The dubious activity happened from June 18, 2019 to August 10, 2019.
