Former broadcaster of Zodiak Broadcasting Station (ZBS) Wisdom Nelson Chimgwede has elected as Chairperson of Media Council of Malawi.
He was elected during MCM General Assembly held in Blantyre on Thursday under the theme of self-regulation.
Chimgwede outclassed Frank Joab Chakhaza of ZBS with 16 votes against 14 votes.
In a related development, Malawi Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) has gone unopposed in National Governing Council (NGC) of MCM.
