Ministry of education to hold press briefing on reopening of schools

The Ministry of Education will today, Thursday, 27th August, 2020, hold a press briefing on the re-opening of schools.
The briefing will take place at the Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC), from 3:00pm.
The Minister of Education, Honourable Agnes NyaLonje, will preside over the press briefing to which she will be joined by officials from the Ministry as well as others from the Ministry of Health; Local Government; DoDMA and the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19.
The press briefing, will provide details on the re-opening of schools amidst the COVID-19 pandemic after President Chakwera gave hope to many Malawians on reopening in national address that he made on Covid-19.
Schools in Malawi remain closed since April this year due to increased numbers of Covid-19 cases.
