First Lady Monica Chakwera donates PPEs to Dowa District Hospital

Malawi’s First Lady Monica Chakwera has today donated Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) to Dowa District Hospital.
The handover ceremony took place at Dowa Community ground on Tuesday.
Speaking after the handover ceremony , Madam Chakwera said the fight against Covid-19 needs a joint effort if the country is to defeat the pandemic.
She said Covid-19 can only be defeated if people adhere to the prevention measures by the Ministry of Health.
The donation includes masks, hand sanitizer and thermometers among others.
The equipment will benefit Dowa District Hospital and 6 other health centres in the district.
