All men who impregnated and married young girls below the age of 18 during this Covid-19 pandemic period in Dedza will be arrested.

District Gender Officer Lisnet Kathyole has confirmed the development.

According to Kathyole currently they are in the process of terminating all early marriages and that all men found living with young girls below the age of 18 as a couple will be netted by the police.

According to Kathyole, Dedza has registered 1,125 early marriages and 849 early pregnancies.
