State vice president Saulos Chilima has given the Blantyre Water Board (BWB) a maximum of 30 days to ensure that water challenges being faced in the commercial city are resolved.

Chilima gave the ultimatum to BWB yesterday when he engaged the board on various issues.

Among others Chilima tackled the issue of loss of K8.9 billion that the board incurred in the 2019/2020 financial year.

Vice President Saulos Chilima has given the Blantyre Water Board (BWB) 30 days to resolve water challenges facing the city.

In a statement after his engagement, the Veep has stressed that it is completely unacceptable that people should stay two days or worse one week, without water.

Chilima indicates that they resolved and greed that erratic water supply in Blantyre should be a thing of the past effective 2nd October this year.
