The High Court in Zomba has sentenced Misozi Chanthunya to life imprisonment for the murder of his 25 year old girlfriend, Linda Gasa.
She was killed in 2010 and her remains were exhumed at Mwala Lodge in Mangochi, owned by Chanthunya.
Chanthunya has also been slapped with two years custodial sentence for the second count of hindering burial of a dead body.
On the charge of perjury, he has been sentenced to two years imprisonment.
The sentences will run concurrently.
