A man is accused of killing his wife after an argument over lack of sex before going on a shooting rampage finishing in a stand off with police.
Jason Michael Mesich is alleged to have gunned down partner Angela Lynn Mesich, 47, in their garage before shooting two sisters, aged 12 and 29, in a neighbouring home.
The 48-year-old faces three second degree murder charges and could be handed a maximum of 80 years in prison if convicted.
Police were called to Mesich’s home in Bloomington, Minneapolis, at 11pm on Sunday in response to reports of gunshots, said the Hennepin County Attorney’s office, reports CBS Minnesota.
On arrival, officers said they could hear shots being fired from inside the property and found Mesich’s wife’s body in the detached garage.
She’d been shot multiple times in the neck and torso.
